The fourth annual ball for mobility impaired youth was held in Budapest on September 30, organised by the Association of Hungarian Knights of Malta, with the support of the Embassy.
The newly accredited Ambassador of the Order of Malta to Budapest, Dr. Heinz Anton Hafner, gave an interview to „Máltai Hírek”, the quarterly magazine of the Hungarian Association and Charity Service of the Order of Malta.
During the 3 day long apostolic visit of His Holiness Pope Francis in Budapest the Hungarian Association and the Embassy of the Order of Malta participated at the Holy Mass on the 30th of April 2023.
The Deputy Prime Minister welcomed Mr Heinz Anton Hafner, Ambassador of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta to Hungary, at the Carmelite Monastery.
The President of Hungary, H.E. Ms. Katalin Novák received the New Year’s greetings of the Diplomatic Corps on 11 January 2023 at the House of Hungarian Music.
On November 28-29, 2022 an international delegation of the Order of Malta, led by the Grand Hospitaller Fra’ Alessandro de Franciscis, visited the Berehove relief unit of the Order in Ukraine. H.E. Ambassador Hafner accompanied the mission from Budapest.
