The fourth annual ball for mobility impaired youth was held on September 30, organised by the Association of Hungarian Knights of Malta, with the support of the Embassy, in the Apor Vilmos community house in Budapest. Approximately 160 people attended, of whom nearly 50 guests with disabilities and their companions, plus members of the Order and their youth team as helpers and hosts.
The ball was opened by Bishop Balázs Martos, followed by a conversation with the European paraswimming champion Ferenc Csúri. The fantastic atmosphere of the ball was ensured by the band that has been playing for us for years, as well as by the energy of the youngsters. In addition to dancing into the night, there were also a raffle, roulette, board games, and a quieter teahouse with live piano playing. Sandwiches, savory and sweet cakes were available in the buffet. The guests were particularly touched by the joy of celebrating together with members of the Order.
The organizers would like to thank all members of the Order, the embassy of the Sovereign Order of Malta, all supporters and the young people who ensured the success of the event with hard teamwork. We hope that we will be able to maintain this annual event that has become a tradition.
