Budapest, September 9. His Excellency Dr. Heinz Anton Hafner hosted the annual reception of the Embassy of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta to Hungary. His Eminence Cardinal Peter Erdő, Primate of Hungary, Dr. András Zs. Varga, President of the Curia, Dr. Zsolt Semjén, Deputy Prime Minister, and H.E. the Apostolic Nuncio, Archbishop Michael W. Banach,were present, with numerous representatives of the Hungarian Government, the diplomatic corps, Church authorities and the Order of Malta.
The Ambassador welcomed the guests with a brief address highlighting the history of the Order, its charitable mission particularly in conflict zones, and its activities in Hungary and worldwide.
