The Grand Hospitaller of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta, H.E. Dr. Josef D. Blotz, paid a working visit to Hungary from 26 to 29 June.

His program included visits to several Institutions operated by the Charity Service of the Order of Malta, like the Health and Logistics Center in Bicske, and the House of Providence – Residential Home for People with Disabilities in Göd. The Grand Hospitaller was accompanied by Ambassador Dr. Heinz A. Hafner, the President of the Hungarian Charity Service, Mr. Peter Szabadhegy and the Hospitaller of the Hungarian Association, Mr. Elemér Gidófalvy.

His Excellency also visited the Embassy of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta in Budapest.

During his visit, the Grand Hospitaller attended the 7th Saint John’s Charity Ball as main patron of the event.

On Sunday 28th, the Grand Hospitaller attended Holy Mass together with members of the Hungarian Association of the Order of Malta in the Matthias Church in Buda Castle, and attended the reception hosted by the Hungarian Association.
