Funeral of Father Imre Kozma Ch.C.G.C. ad hon.

Budapest, November 15. The funeral of Father Imre Kozma, co-founder and lifetime president of the Hungarian Charity Service of the Order of Malta, was attended by Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, Speaker of the House László Kövér, Interior Minister Sándor Pintér, ex-President of the Republic of Hungary János Áder with his wife, Anita Hercegh, Goodwill Ambassador of the Hungarian Charity Service of the Order of Malta.

The Order was represented by H.E. the Grand Hospitaller, Fra’ Alessandro De Franciscis, accompanied by H.E. Amb. Heinz Hafner and a large delegation of the Hungarian Association of the Order. A number of confreres and colleagues from neighbouring countries and from Germany, made the trip especially to pay their last respects.

Tamás Sulyok, President of the Republic, was unable to attend the entire ceremony, but paid his respects personally beforehand.

Father Kozma was laid to rest in the crypt of the Basilica of Saint Stephen.
