The Hungarian Charity Service of the Order of Malta must continue its mission faithful to the legacy of Father Imre Kozma, who passed away last year – said Péter Szabadhegÿ, president of the organisation, at its national assembly held on 31 May.
The event was attended by His Excellency Dr Heinz Hafner, Ambassador, Kristóf Szabadhegÿ, President of the Hungarian Association of Knights of Malta, and Dr Loránd Erőss, hospitaller; thus, all three organisations of the Order of Malta present in Hungary were represented at the delegates’ assembly of the Charity Service.
The delegates elected Péter Szabadhegÿ as president for the next four-year term. He has led the Charity Service since the extraordinary delegates’ meeting in February. At the same time, Miklós Vecsei was re-elected as vice-president, and Bishop Dr. Levente Balázs Martos was elected national spiritual leader.
