Mr. Gregor Arun Roy Chowdhury of Ulpur, C.H.D., was awarded the Pro Merito Melitensi Officer Cross on the proposal of H.E. Ambassador Heinz Hafner, in recognition of his selfless and efficient work at the service of the Embassy. The award was presented to him at a brief ceremony on November 3, 2025.

Mr. Roy Chowdhury worked at the Embassy of the Sovereign Order of Malta in Budapest with the rank of First Secretary from October 2020 to 31 December 2022. From April to October 2022, he fulfilled the role of Chargé d’affaires, until H.E. Ambassador Dr. Heinz Anton Hafner presented his credentials.
