The President of Hungary Tamás Sulyok was received today at the Magistral Palace by the Grand Master of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta, Fra’ John Dunlap.
During the meeting the Hungarian President praised the work the Order of Malta carries out in over 120 countries across the globe and in particular in Hungary where the Order’s Hungarian Charity Service is the largest social institution in the country, assisting a daily average of 13,000 people in nearly 150 institutions.
The Embassy attended the State Remembrance event on the Day of Remembrance for Hungarian victims of the Holocaust, in the Hungarian Parliament, on 16th April 2024.
The annual bilateral meeting of the Hungarian Government and the Order of Malta was held in the Government building of Buda Castle on March 12.The meeting was chaired by Zsolt Semjén, Deputy Prime Minister of the Hungarian Government, and Dr. Heinz Anton Hafner, Ambassador of the Sovereign Order of Malta. Leaders of the Hungarian Association and the Hungarian Charity Service of the Order of Malta were in attendance.
